
Yoshiki Okamoto Born in 1961 in Ehime, Japan, is the Director and Game Producer for OKAKICHI and the Representative Director of the “Japan Game Culture Promotion Foundation.”
He is also a Game Producer for “DERAGE Inc.” and the General Manager of the game company “Cave.”
Okamoto created an unprecedented global boom in the early 1990s by producing the fighting game Street Fighter II. He continued to contribute to the creation of major hits such as the “Resident Evil,” “Onimusha,” and “Monster Hunter” series.
Over 20 years, he established himself as one of Japan’s most renowned and talented creators/producers in both arcade and console games. In the field of smartphone applications, he participated in the development of “Monster Strike” in 2013, which quickly became one of the best-selling games of all time in Japan on the AppStore and Google Play in 2014.
Currently, the game is expanding its service area beyond Japan to other Asian countries and parts of the world.
Looking ahead, Okamoto aims to become more involved in new challenges and to imagine new genres to help the industry continue its ongoing evolution.
